Altun Ha and Baboon Sanctuary from San Pedro

Our guides will meet you upon mainland arrival in Belize City before heading off to Altun Ha.The temples are easily climbed and are not as tall as Lamanai and Xunantunich. Next Your guide will show you the monkeys up close as they scamper across rope suspensions bridges throughout the village. You won’t miss the howl of this small monkey that sounds like it’s coming from a much bigger animal. This will be a day of archaeological history and wildlife all within a few miles of Belize City. Be back at your hotel in time for happy hour and a late afternoon swim.

San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi Welcome to Belize! To ensure a smooth and stress-free transfer, please follow this step-by-step guideline for traveling from San Pedro to Belize City using the San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi (SPBE). 1. Find the San Pedro Belize Express Terminal The terminal is conveniently located in downtown San Pedro, right along the beachfront. Look for the blue-and-white SPBE signage — you can’t miss it. 2. Go to the Private Belize Adventure Ticket Booth When you arrive, head directly to the ticket booth/counter. Let the staff know you have a pre-booked reservation under Private Belize Adventure. 3. Provide Your Booking Reference Number Present the booking reference number we provided to you. Tell the agent: “I have a reservation under Private Belize Adventure.” They may request ID, so keep one handy. 4. Collect Your Boarding Tickets The agent will print your tickets. PLEASE verify the following before leaving the counter: ✔ Route: San Pedro → Belize City ✔ Correct departure time ✔ Total number of passengers 5. Confirm Payment If your fare is prepaid through Private Belize Adventure, you will NOT owe anything at the booth. If not prepaid, you may pay using Belize or US currency, or a credit/debit card. 6. Check Your Luggage (If Needed) Large suitcases go to the checked baggage area near the dock. Smaller personal bags may be taken onboard. You will receive a luggage tag — keep this safe, as you’ll need it in Belize City. 7. Proceed to the Boarding Area Follow the signs to the waiting/boarding area. Boarding normally begins 15 minutes before your scheduled departure. 8. Boarding the Water Taxi Listen for the boarding call for Belize City. Show your printed tickets to the SPBE crew. Seating is open — choose indoor (covered) or outdoor (open-air) seating based on your comfort. 9. Travel Duration Approximate travel time: 1 hour 30 minutes. Water taxis are fast and comfortable; feel free to enjoy the sea breeze and Caribbean views. 10. Arrival in Belize City You will dock at the Belize City SPBE Terminal near the Swing Bridge. Claim your bags at the luggage pickup area. 11. Meet Your Private Belize Adventure Driver Your PBA driver will be waiting right outside the main terminal entrance. They will be holding a sign with: Your Name / Private Belize Adventure Travel Safe — We’re Excited to Host You!
