Day 1: Arrival Nairobi

• Your family are met at the airport and transferred to Boma Inn hotel by our representative. Overnight Boma Inn Hotel on Bed & Breakfast

Day 2: Nairobi Day Tour to Giraffe Center & Elephant Orphanage

• After breakfast drive to Giraffe center to see the rare Rothschild’s Giraffe then visit Elephant Orphanage at David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage admire the playful nature of these young elephants and experience a close encounter with giants of the African wilderness. Have Lunch at Carnivore restaurant then be dropped back to your hotel.

Day 3: Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy
• Ol Pejeta Conservancy

  Drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy arriving in time for lunch at Maiyan Resort. After lunch you undertake your first game drive in the Wildlife Sanctuary and visit the Rhino Sanctuary in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy where the highly endangered Black Rhino are kept. Visit the Chimpanzee sanctuary which is an ideal opportunity to learn more about these incredible animals. Return to the Hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight stay

Day 4: Ol Pejeta to Lake Nakuru National park
• Lake Nakuru National Park

  Today we travel to the exotic Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley. After lunch an exciting game run is planned for the afternoon. The game in this park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant. The Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here is world renown and over 400 bird’s species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the white Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe

Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara
• Maasai Mara National Reserve

  Today you will head south-west to the next destination arriving in time for lunch at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge, the Masai Mara arguably one of the finest game reserves in Africa. Set out for a late afternoon game drive in the park. This is a wonderful day to experience the Great Migration of the wildebeest crossing a river in the Masai Mara if it is in season. The Mara is known for its rolling green plains and riverine woodlands. The jewel in Africa’s crown the Mara is host to the most spectacular array of wildlife. Lion are found in abundance throughout the park as well as elephant, giraffe, varieties of gazelle species, zebra, cheetah and leopard.

Day 6: Masai Mara Full Day (Option Hot Air Balloon Safari)

  A full day is spent exploring the park on both morning and afternoon game drives. Your Kenya Family Holiday has now reached its climax with spectacular wildlife viewing; you experience truly magnificent views of the panoramic vistas of the park with optional hot air balloon rides in which travelers are woken early to glimpse the golden dawn breaking over the Savannah plains. There is also a wonderful opportunity to include a cultural visit to a Maasai homestead. Game viewing is never dull in the Mara, and patience is often rewarded with unique sightings.

  We travel morning after breakfast to Lake Naivasha for a boat cruise in the aftrenoon shimmering lake surface, searching for hippos and other rare creatures found in the lake. On this afternoon of your Kenya Family Safari you have an opportunity to enjoy a guided nature walk with your family. The lake is a swamp area of spectacular scenery with good opportunities for game viewing and bird watching. Experiencing the natural habitat by foot is probably one of the best ways to get close to nature and submerse yourself in this exciting nature reserve.
