What To Expect

    Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve
  • Rift Valley Province

    Depart from Nairobi with pick up from your hotel, airport, or place of residence at 7.00am. Have a 2 hours drive to the famous Rift Valley viewpoint that runs stretching from Lebanon to Mozambique, Africa’s Great Rift Valley is a 6,000-mile crack in the earth’s crust, and much of it is to be found in Kenya, where it has literally cut the country in two. The Valley contains some of the world’s finest lakes, mountains and plains. You will learn briefly about the Valley and Kenya's history.

  • Narok

    Our driver-guide will drive you to Narok town which is a town in the Great Rift Valley where you will have a water break stopover. Drive for approximately 2.5hrs on a bumpy road which reflects the true Kenyan jungle as you encounter the Masai and their villages along the way. On arrival in Masai Mara, you will be received by our staff in the camp and direct to the room which will be your home for the next 2 nights. Have lunch in the hotel and freshen up as you await your evening game drive. Your evening game drive begins from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm.

  • Maasai Mara National Reserve

    After relaxing in the hotel, you may want to go for the 1st game drive in your trip which is the evening game drive. Get to catch the sunset and also the best time to see the big five. After retire to your camp for dinner and rest as you await a full game drive the following day.

    After breakfast you will spend the day in Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most popular game reserve where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five – lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, and elephant, game drives are flexible, with the option of going out with picnic lunch boxes to spend the entire day in the park, or you can choose to have early morning and late afternoon game drives. You will also have the option of visiting a local Masai village (at an exra USD 30). You will be entertained with Masai Moran dance as well as the visit of the Manyatta. Inside the Manyatta you take as many photos as you can as a memory of Africa Cultural visit. All meals and overnight at Jambo Mara Safari Lodge
