Sigiriya Lion Rock
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport Here, you will be met by a designated chauffer guide from Travceylon Leisure. After the formalities at the airport you will be escorted to your air-conditioned vehicle and proceed to Sigiriya and start your journey.
After the breakfast at the hotel go and visit the rock fortress, Sigiriya. (Travel Time: 20 to 30 mins) Climb the 5th century AD rock fortress, Sigiriya, where the King Kasyapa ruled. Walk through the entrance framed by the paws of a lion that is quite appropriate for its name, ' the Lion Rock'. View the beautiful unfading murals that brought Sigiriya its fame. Climb the steep staircase to see the terraced gardens and still working cisterns. Walk through the tunnels leading to the palace as you get a feel for times long past.

Golden Temple of Dambulla
Thereafter proceed to Golden Temple of Dambulla. (Travel Time: 20 to 30 mins)
Enter the historic caves of the Golden Temple of Dambulla, dating back to the 1st century BC. View the ancient murals depicting the life story of Lord Gautama Buddha. Look at the hundreds of figurines of Buddha and other deities scattered throughout the five main caves. Visit the Cave of the Divine King, Cave of the Great King and the Great New Monastery. See the giant golden Buddha Statue just a little distance outside the cave complex.

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel check-out and proceed to Kandy. En-route make a stop at Matale and visit Matale Spice Gardens and do a guided tour of a spice and herbal garden, where you learn about spices, such as coriander, chili, cinnamon, cardamom, and nutmeg; and their uses.

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic

Royal Botanical Gardens
Thereafter proceed to Kandy and visit the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden. (Travel time: 15 â 30 mins)
Visit the famous Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya, which were formed in the early 19th century. Walk through the vast area containing over 4000 species of plants. Enjoy the learning more about the orchids, spices and medicinal plants. Wander down avenues shaded by large and rare trees, or bordered by flowering plants. Enjoy seeing the cannonball tree, walking over the wobbly suspension bridge and through the short hedge mazes or even climbing the twisty trees that make wonderful jungle gyms.

Kandy
You will be starting your tour at 0730 hrs from your hotel in Kandy, where you will be picked up by your chauffeur. Ensure that you bring a packed breakfast with you if you are unable to have your meal at the hotel. Your chauffeur will be taken you to the Kandy or Peradeniya railway station at approximately 0800 hrs which lies quite close.

Nuwara Eliya
Your train will be leaving in between 0830 â 0845 hrs. Your guide will be assisting you to get onto the train for your train journey. Your train journey takes you on a scenic ride through some of the most beautiful highland countryside areas in Sri Lanka. Watch the brilliant greens carpets of the tea plantations. See the picturesque villages with misty mountain backdrops pass by. Peer through drizzle and mist to look at the magical landscapes of Hill Country. Enjoy the amazing sights of intimidating mountains, deep and dark woodlands, and magnificent waterfalls as they go by your windows.
You will reach Nanuoya at 1215 hrs. Your guide will meet you at the Nanuoya station, which has been serving Nuwara Eliya for over a century. After you stretch your legs a little, your guide will chauffeur you to Nuwara Eliya.

Udawalawe National Park
Udawalawe National Park lies on the boundary of Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces, in Sri Lanka. The national park was created to provide a sanctuary for wild animals displaced by the construction of the Udawalawe Reservoir on the Walawe River, as well as to protect the catchment of the reservoir. The reserve covers 30,821 hectares (119.00 sq mi) of land area and was established on 30 June 1972. Before the designation of the national park, the area was used for shifting cultivation (chena farming). The farmers were gradually removed once the national park was declared. The park is 165 kilometres (103 mi) from Colombo. Udawalawe is an important habitat for water birds and Sri Lankan elephants. It is a popular tourist destination and the third most visited park in the country.
