What To Expect

    Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve
  • Maasai Mara National Reserve

    You will be picked up from the airport or hotel in Nairobi at 8:00 a.m. and head southward to the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley for a brief stopover to view the escarpment. You will then continue to Narok, a small Maasai town for lunch. Proceed to Maasai Mara and then check in to your camp for a brief refreshment, followed by an afternoon game drive in the game reserve which is Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Although July, August, and September are the months when the Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round. Dinner and overnight will be at the camp.

  • Maasai Mara National Reserve

    After breakfast, you will proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape is a scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. Maasai Mara National Reserve is the best park for game viewing in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. After the game viewing, have a break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodile. The dinner will be served and you will stay overnight at the self-contained tented camp.

    You will have pre-breakfast game drive in Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Return to the campsite for late breakfast and then leave your camp and proceed to Lake Nakuru, arriving in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight in a Nakuru hotel.

    After breakfast, you will proceed on a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, which is known for its prolific bird life, including flamingoes. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino while species like Cape buffalo and waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline. After the game drive, you will proceed to Naivasha. The dinner and overnight today will be in a budget hotel.

  • Amboseli National Park

    After breakfast, you will have a nature walk in Hell’s Gate National Park. Then, you will have lunch and drive to Amboseli National Park. If time permits, there will be a chance for an evening game drive. In the evening, you will have dinner and stay overnight at the camp.

    You will spend a full day of game drives in this park which contains swamp grounds in which elephants and hippos bathe in abundance. A variety of plains game, antelopes, birds, and Mt. Kilimanjaro’s peak can also be seen if the weather conditions permit. Picnic lunch is served in the park, and then you will return to the tented camp for dinner and overnight.
