4 Days Kenya Budget Safari in Masai Mara

This 4 Days Budget Safari encompasses wildlife viewing & activity safari visiting the Lake Naivasha area in the Great Rift Valley and Masai Mara game reserve to view the Big 5, awesome Kenya landscapes and even local cultures. Lake Naivasha is a picnic and camping spot and a bird watcher’s paradise. During your safari, you will have a chance to visit Hell's Gate National Park which has over 100 species of birds including vultures, Verreaux's Eagles, augur buzzard, and swifts. African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson's gazelle, and baboons are also common. Hell’s Gate National Park is a tiny park located between Lake Naivasha and Longonot and Suswa volcanoes and it is an ideal venue for a budget safari far from the urban life of Nairobi.

What To Expect

    Day 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara
  • Maasai Mara National Reserve

    This morning, you will drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home to the Big Five, which includes lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino. Then, you will have lunch at the lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon game drive. Large mammals are varied and easy to see at the Maasai Mara National Reserve as it is one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Residents of the park are Maasai giraffe, buffalo, eland, and thousands of plains game including impala, zebra, topi, and both Thomson’s and grants gazelles.

  • Maasai Mara National Reserve

    The search for great predators and perhaps even cubs will continue today during extensive game drives. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs.

    • Day 3: Maasai Mara to Lake Naivasha
  • Lake Naivasha

    You will enjoy a pre-breakfast game drive between 06:30 and 09:00 after which you will return to the campsite for a hot breakfast. After breakfast, you will proceed to Lake Naivasha. Lunch will be served at Mai Mahiu. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Taphe Guest Resort.
