What To Expect

    Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara
  • Maasai Mara National Reserve

    Departing from the capital of Kenya, Nairobi, you will drive down the escarpment via the floor of the scenic Great Rift Valley. After that, you arrive at your overnight camp, located on the border of Masai Mara, in time for lunch. This afternoon you will explore Masai Mara on your first game drive, getting a taste of what this legendary game park has to offer. You will stay in a safari tents overlooking the untamed savannah plains and woodlands of Masai Mara. At night, you can hear a chorus of different animal sounds as the creatures of the wild communicate with each other in the darkness, more than enough reason to visit.

    • Day 2: Masai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya
  • Maasai Mara National Reserve

    The next two days are spent game viewing in Kenya's finest wildlife park, the Masai Mara. Your morning and afternoon game drives will take you in search of Africa's Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan game reserve. Wherever you go in the vast Masai Mara, you will see an abundance of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, and wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and hippos are also found in great numbers. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal or surveying the plains for their next meal. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot but reasonably common.

  • Maasai Mara National Reserve

    You'll wake up early and enjoy an early breakfast at 6:00 am. Check out and depart the lodge. Leave Masai Mara for another long drive to Lake Naivasha. The lake is situated on the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland. You'll arrive in time for lunch at the Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge. After lunch, relax and later proceed to Crescent Island Game Sanctuary for a walking safari after which you may decide to take a boat ride to explore the lake. Alternatively, you may also decide to visit Hell's Gate National Park where you'll explore the park on bikes.
