What To Expect

Day 1: DAY 1: NAIROBI – DIANI
• Diani Beach

  Take the “Lunatic Express” train to Mombasa arriving just to find our driver who will waiting to give a luxurious drive to South Coast in Diani. You will arrive in your hotel in Diani for Dinner and check in to spend the night there. You can also opt to spend an evening in the view of the ocean or in the Diani night life. Dinner and overnight at Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa.

Day 2: DAY 2 DIANI – WASINI ISLAND
• Wasini Island

  You will be picked from your hotel at around 7.15 am and drive to Wasini Island along Mombasa – Lunga Lunga highway. Arrive at Shimoni Jet where you will board an Arabic dhow and sail for one hour searching for dolphins. Sail to Kisite Marine National Park where you will snorkel and swim. Animals seen here include turtles, marine tortoise, coral reefs and different types of marine fishes. You will have your lunch at the island which is mainly sea food and Swahili dishes. After lunch, you will sail along the mangrove swamps and then visit the Wasini Island where you will learn more about the Swahili people and the Arabs history. Also there is an option of visiting the Shimoni Slave Caves. This is where slaves were "stored" before being shipped off to Arabia in the early 18th century. Arrive at the jet at around 4.00 pm thereafter drive back to the hotel. Dinner and Overnight at your hotel.

Day 3: DAY 3 DIANI FULL DAY ( Chale Island)
• Diani Beach

  The day typically begins with an early morning departure, arriving at Shimba Hills National reserve in time for a scenic game drive through rolling hills and dense vegetation, where you may spot elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and the rare sable antelope. Midday is perfect for a guided hike to Sheldrick Falls, a beautiful waterfall tucked within the forest, where visitors can relax, take photos, and sometimes swim before hiking back up. Afterward, lunch can be enjoyed at a picnic site or at Shimba Hills Lodge, which offers scenic views and occasional wildlife sightings near its waterholes. The afternoon is spent enjoying panoramic viewpoints overlooking the plains and distant Indian Ocean before departing the reserve in the late afternoon, returning to Mombasa by evening. This short trip combines wildlife viewing, nature walks, and tranquil landscapes, making it an ideal one-day coastal safari experience.
