    Sarajevo, nestled within the greater Sarajevo valley of Bosnia, is surrounded by the Dinaric Alps and situated along the Miljacka River in the heart of Southeastern Europe and the Balkans. It is the capital city, the administrative, political, economic, social, cultural, educational and sport center of Bosnia and Herzegovina.   • Vranduk Fortress - Muzej Grada Zenice

    The Vranduk fortress was built in late 14th century, and it is located approximately 14 kilometers from the town of Zenica. It was built on a rock above the river Bosnia, and represents one of many medieval towns with rich history. In the Middle Ages Vranduk was one of the several royal cities, and was a capital to many Bosnian kings at the time. For six centuries Vranduk fortress was known as the gate of Bosnia.

    Ethno Village Cardaci is located in a unique setting on the banks of the river. This is ecological and tourism complex with fantastic restaurant, great pub, aqua park, fish pond, few small lakes, and numerous springs and streams with all houses made in old village style.

    Maglaj is a town in northern Bosnia and Herzegovina, originated in the 14th century, has an old town with mosques, traditional houses dating back from the Ottoman Empire, and a fortress that stands as a symbol of Maglaj.

    Doboj It is one of the oldest cities in the country and the most important urban center in northern Republika Srpska. The area had been inhabited ever since the early Stone Age, and the Roman Empire had an army camp and a settlement in the vicinity of the town dating from the first century AD. Doboj Fortress, a magnificent object, was considered to be a royal property, now with Gothic structure, served as the focal point guarding the entry into Bosnia proper as it overlooks Doboj valley.

    TeĹĄanj castle is located in the town TeĹĄanj, on the territory of Bosnia & Herzegovina. TeĹĄanj castle was built in the center of TeĹĄanj, on a steep and rocky hill, along the river, and known as a medieval and Ottoman fortress. Currently, TeĹĄanj Castle is one of the most significant and biggest castles in Bosnia, with an area of 6,296 square meters.

  • Banja Luka

    This beautiful and historical city surrounded by green hills, split into two by the Vrbas river. Banja Luka is the second largest city, after the capital Sarajevo, of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the capital of the Republika Srpska entity. It has a rich mixture of preserved architecture combined with a rich culture that give Banja Luka a unique charm. It's one of Bosnia's most modern and up-and-coming cities. Medieval fortress Kastel is located here in Banja Luka. The fortress is situated on the site of previous fortifications going all the way back to Roman and even pre-Roman times. The fortress is well-preserved, and is one of Banja Luka's main attractions.

  • Day 7: Etno Muzej Ljubacke Doline / Kljuc
  • Etno Muzej Ljubacke Doline

    Created by an inspired man that made this place to give people an idea of rural life of Serbian people. This unique place has a picturesque view of authentic huts of peasants. Here you can spot craftsmen houses, rural school and lots of items from hundreds years ago up to Yugoslavia era. You can try real home made national food in their small tavern.

  • Old Town Kljuc

    The Old Town Kljuc is the pearl of our medieval heritage and architecture and represents an invaluable cultural asset of great historical value. He played a significant role in the history and politics of the medieval Bosnian state, and his masters were powerful nobles from the river valley of the Sana. The first fortifications of the medieval town Kljuc dates back to the 13th century. The first written mention of Kljuc is from 1322.

The unique atmosphere at the source of the river Buna, the peace of the Dervish House and the fresh waters of Buna make it a truly special place.

    Počitelj is a small Ottoman-Mediterranean settlement. The village is built along the Neretva river. The walled town of Počitelj evolved in the period from the 16th to the 18th centuries. Architecturally, the stone-constructed parts of the town are a fortified complex, in which two stages of evolution are evident: medieval and Ottoman.

    Stolac's historic core is an example of a complex cultural-historical and natural environmental ensemble. Nine historical layers compose Stolac's architectural ensemble: prehistory, Illyrian-Roman period, the early Middle Ages, advanced and late Middle Ages, Ottoman period, Austro-Hungarian period, and the time of the first and second Yugoslavia. Stolac is one of Herzegovina's oldest towns, has an Ottoman center (Carsija), a Roman castle, and craggy mountains surrounding the historical town.

  • Tvrdos Monastery

    The famous Monastery Tvrdos, located about four kilometers from Trebinje, dates back to the Middle Ages and it is believed that it was founded by the Czar, Saint Constantine, and his mother Saint Helen. Today, the monastery is renowned for its wine production in hundred-year-old oak barrels and its wine cellars, one of which dates to the 15th century.
