Classic Everest Base Camp Trekking

Famously known as the “Classic trek to Everest”, Jiri to Everest trek has been preferred by many hardcore trekkers from decades ago. It was believed to be the original route to Everest. Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay also embarked on their quest to climb Mount Everest from this trail as well. Starting from Jiri, which lies in the Dolakha district of Nepal, this Jiri to Everest trek takes you deep into the hills, forest, gorges and river banks leading directly to the base camp of the roof of the world. Jiri is the home of an ethnic group called the Jirels and Sherpa. It is one of the classic treks of Nepal which provides an opportunity to experience a true and authentic Sherpa culture with spectacular views of the Everest range.
